The cars are cool, but I found the people making the video to be annoying.

5 or 6 years ago I placed a $2,000 order for a 1/5 scale buggy or monster truck or whatever the fuck and the next morning I woke up thinking WTF am I doing dropping $2,000 on a toy and promptly canceled my order.

Part of me still wants it, mainly to buy it in kit form and the fun I'd have putting it together. But fuck that, I have a house and shit now I'd rather spend money on.

I had a road car a few years ago. HPI Nitro RS4 something or another with a 2 speed gearbox. When that thing hit 2nd gear, you found all of the imperfections in the pavement real quick. I think it lasted a couple weeks before I tweaked the aluminum chassis to where I was burining up transmission gears constantly. I was going to get a carbon fiber chassis for it but sold it instead.

I just found the electric version of the RS4 when we moved! I totally remember it was a mini-pothole detector unless I was on a tennis court. I need to find a place to run it (and likely replace the NiMH).

Yeah. Those things need pavement perfection and nothing less. LOL

I get to play with giant RC aereal drone targets for the government now. I just completed a course in California on the tracking, guidance, and control systems. The technology is absolutely unreal. The drones that I play with can fly 300 miles away from the control station. It amazes me what technology has advanced to!
