I hope they return to the old format and not try to "MS Flight" it. What a turd that was. There's little info yet, but would almost have to be on both Xbox and PC. Looks awesome.
I got into flightsim then got my private pilot's license. It turns out you save a decent amount of money on training/lessons because you already know quite a bit. Ain't nothin' like the real thing, babeee.
I was into Jaynes back in the day. Never was very successful with the carrier landings though. I wasted a lot of F18's.
The Acceleration add-on to Flightsim X has a carrier landing scenario which I still have saved, starting in in the pattern, and load up now and again. I bet I only make it one in twenty times. Part of the problem is the sim, as you can't easily see the throttle and it's hard to make power/thrust adjustments. For anyone new to flightsim, the MS versions came with quite a few pre-made scenarios ( tutorials and missions) that were pretty cool. Eg, in one you had to fly a chopper in to rescue oil rig workers before the rig explodes (pre-dated Deepwater Horizon, btw) and in another you're the chase plane for a Space Shuttle landing and iirc you have to intercept it, follow it in, the break off at the end and go land.
I liked the mission flying into Area 51 on one of the Janet planes. That one was one of my favorites.
